Tether hires KPMG to audit USDT

Odaily Planet Daily reports that, according to Tech in Asia, Tether, the issuer of the stablecoin USDT, has selected KPMG as its auditing firm and hired PwC to help enhance its internal systems. This move is the clearest sign that Tether is moving toward full financial statement audits; the audit will go beyond the monthly reserve attestations currently issued by BDO Italia, conducting a comprehensive review of assets, liabilities, control measures, and reporting processes.
