Anthropic has won a court order temporarily blocking the Trump administration’s ban on the company’s use of artificial intelligence technology at the government level.

U.S. District Court Judge Rita F. Lin issued a preliminary injunction on Thursday, suspending the government’s plan to cut all ties with Anthropic during legal proceedings in the San Francisco federal court.

The judge called the government’s ban “disturbing” and said it “appears to be an attempt to weaken Anthropic.”

More to come.
