National Healthcare Security Administration: Long-term Care Insurance System Covers All Citizens, No Urban-Rural Divide

People’s Financial News, March 26 — On March 26, Wang Wenjun, Deputy Director of the National Healthcare Security Administration, stated at a State Council Information Office press conference that the long-term care insurance system is built on the principle of universal coverage, with all employees and residents participating in long-term care insurance. It adheres to the principle of coordinated urban and rural development; within the same coordinated region, there is no distinction between urban and rural areas. Insured individuals, whether from the countryside or the city, draw from the same fund pool for reimbursements and benefits. It also follows the principle of fairness and uniformity, with basic consistency across different regions in terms of coverage targets, assessment standards, contribution rates, and service items.
