Guangzhou: By 2030, the adoption rate of new-generation intelligent terminals, intelligent agents, and other applications will exceed 90%

The Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government Office has issued the Implementation Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of the Artificial Intelligence Industry in Guangzhou. The plan states that by 2030, the city will achieve comprehensive AI empowerment for high-quality development, with the adoption rate of new intelligent terminals, intelligent agents, and other applications exceeding 90%. The intelligent economy will become an important growth pole for the city’s economic development, aiming to achieve the “Ten Hundred Thousand” results, build an AI ecological value park, establish demonstration zones for AI industry applications, and gather new intelligent terminal clusters. Additionally, 10 common technology service platforms for AI industry applications (including AI pilot bases and empowerment centers) will be built; 100 large-scale models with market competitiveness and industry promotion will be developed; 1,000 AI scene application demonstrations will be created; and thousands of “AI+” related enterprises will be cultivated, including 1-2 leading companies with revenues exceeding 100 billion yuan and 2-3 smart terminal products ranked among the top in the country. The goal is to form a trillion-yuan-level industrial ecosystem around AI core industries and related applications, striving to make Guangzhou a globally influential hub for specialized AI models.
