AI | Nvidia-Backed AI Startup Reflection Plans to Raise $19.5 Billion

According to The Wall Street Journal, Nvidia-backed AI startup Reflection AI is planning to raise $2.5 billion (approximately HKD 19.5 billion), with the company’s valuation reaching $25 billion (approximately HKD 195 billion).

Reflection AI is dedicated to building an open-source AI model that businesses, laboratories, and universities can use and reuse according to their needs.

Data shows that the company was founded in 2024 by two founders, Misha Laskin and Ioannis Antonoglou, who come from Google’s DeepMind, responsible for the Gemini project and AlphaGo, respectively. Other investors include Sequoia Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and more. Investors have described Reflection as “the Western DeepSeek.”
