Kim Jong Un formally designates South Korea as its primary enemy

Kim Jong-un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, emphasized on the 23rd that North Korea will continue to strengthen its status as a nuclear-armed state, actively engage in anti-enemy struggles, and officially define South Korea as the “number one enemy.” According to reports, Kim Jong-un stated, “In particular, we must make it clear that we regard South Korea as the most hostile country and will reject and ignore it with the clearest words and actions; any provocation by South Korea against our country will be met with unwavering and uncompromising consequences.” (China News Service)
