Recently, Wenzhou City Industrial Development Group Co., Ltd. successfully issued its first non-public “Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative” technological innovation SME support corporate bonds (Phase 1) on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2026. This is the country’s first bond themed around “Technological Innovation + SME Support + Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative,” with an issuance scale of 500 million yuan, a 5-year term, and a coupon rate as low as 2.18%.

The funds raised from this bond will be used primarily to support the development of subsidiaries like Zhejiang Bian Electric and related upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain, focusing on “Little Giants” that are specialized, refined, and innovative. It is expected to serve over 90 SMEs, including more than 80 private enterprises.

It is worth noting that this bond is the country’s first to utilize financial funds from technological finance and inclusive finance for the coordinated development of “Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative” enterprises and their SME supply chains. It represents an important innovation in the capital market’s service to the real economy and support for technological innovation enterprises.

This bond is also seen as a concrete measure by Wenzhou to empower the private economy through financial innovation and cultivate new productive forces. Wenzhou Industrial Group stated that the company has transformed from a traditional infrastructure enterprise into a comprehensive urban operation service provider with market-oriented management capabilities.
