Stripe and e-commerce giant Tempo have jointly developed the Machine Payment Protocol (MPP), which has now launched on the Solana platform, providing programmatic payment functionality for artificial intelligence agents and service providers. The protocol supports all Solana stablecoins and features capabilities such as payment splitting, allowing server operators to cover network fees for users. However, on-chain data shows that agent economic activity has declined significantly, with Solana's x402 transactions nearly disappearing. To promote innovation, Colosseum's Frontier hackathon will launch on April 6, attracting over 880 registered teams to develop new artificial intelligence products on the Solana platform.
