BTS | Netflix: Bulletproof Boy Scouts Return Show Watched by 18.4 Million Globally
Netflix announced that South Korean boy band BTS’s return performance broadcast last Saturday (the 21st) attracted a total of 18.4 million viewers.
BTS held their comeback performance “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG” at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul last Saturday, marking the group’s first reunion in nearly four years. Netflix simultaneously streamed the event in 190 countries and regions worldwide. During the live broadcast and within 24 hours after it ended, the event drew 18.4 million viewers.
Top Charts in 24 Countries/Regions
Netflix stated that the live broadcast ranked in the top ten on weekly viewership charts in 80 countries and reached number one in 24 countries and regions, including South Korea, Mexico, Japan, and the Philippines. From Asia to the Americas, BTS also dominated Netflix’s charts, with the performance garnering 13.1 million views, topping the global non-English TV show charts. To date, the event has accumulated 2.62 billion views of BTS content on Netflix’s official channels.
Additionally, a documentary about the making of BTS’s new album, “BTS: THE RETURN,” will be aired this Friday (the 27th).
