PG&E has announced a reduction in residential electric rates by 1.8% starting March 1, which translates to about $5.14 less per month for typical customers and $10.37 for lower-income CARE customers. This is the fifth electric rate cut since January 2024. While electric rates are decreasing, natural gas rates will slightly increase by 0.3% due to recovery costs for safety and emergency work.
