According to Korean media Asiae, the Korea National Police Agency has for the first time formulated management guidelines involving "dark web coins (privacy coins)" and added software wallet management rules in the draft cryptocurrency asset seizure standards. The police stated that privacy coins are difficult to manage through hardware wallets due to their strong transaction anonymity, therefore requiring separately formulated storage and management solutions. Data shows that the Korean police have seized approximately 54.5 billion won in cryptocurrency assets over the past 5 years, including approximately 50.7 billion won in Bitcoin and 1.8 billion won in Ethereum.
