Coinworld News reports that bitcoin mining company HIVE announced that due to tax disputes and operational uncertainties, the company is gradually reducing its bitcoin mining operations in Sweden. The company also announced that through its subsidiary BUZZ High Performance Computing, it will expand its liquid-cooled AI data center capacity in Canada by four times. Coinworld News reports that HIVE's Swedish subsidiary faces increasingly severe challenges in traditional computing power production operations, including enforcement actions and the "misapplication of existing tax laws" by Swedish authorities. Despite receiving supportive opinions from multiple law firms, a leading accounting firm, and Swedish VAT experts and other local scholars, authorities still require the company to pay deposits related to the disputed tax assessment.
