Journalists have learned that Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company (MGC) issued a price increase notice on March 2, stating that due to soaring raw material prices and rising labor and transportation costs, the profitability of the company’s electronic materials division for CCL, pre-impregnated materials, and CRS products has significantly deteriorated. To ensure stable supply, prices for these products will be adjusted with a 30% increase over current prices, effective April 1. In the CCL (copper-clad laminate) sector, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC) is the global leader and innovator in high-end packaging substrate materials. Earlier, Japanese semiconductor material giant Resonac announced a 30% price increase for CCL and adhesive films starting March 1. (Shanghai Securities Journal)
