People’s Financial News, March 13 — On March 13, the Ministry of Transport held a Party Leadership Group meeting and a departmental meeting. The meeting emphasized the need to solidly carry out various transportation tasks this year. It is important to study new situations, solve new problems, and focus on addressing key difficulties and bottlenecks that restrict high-quality development of transportation, improve the modern comprehensive transportation system, promote the “One Network, Four Modernizations,” and better coordinate development and safety. Attention should be given to cultivating new productive forces in the transportation sector, strengthening key core technology breakthroughs, deeply implementing the “Artificial Intelligence + Transportation” initiative, and accelerating the green and low-carbon transformation of transportation. Efforts should be made to serve and strengthen the domestic big cycle, smooth the domestic and international dual cycles, accelerate the connectivity of the national comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network, plan a batch of “good projects” for transportation infrastructure, speed up the construction of a unified and open transportation market, and improve a diversified and resilient international transportation corridor system. Focus should also be on delivering practical transportation projects for the people, solving urgent, difficult, and pressing issues faced by the public in transportation, improving long-term mechanisms to ensure transportation services for people’s livelihoods, and continuously enhancing people’s sense of gain, happiness, and security. Safety and stability work should be prioritized, with a solid foundation and clear responsibilities, effective prevention of safety risks in key areas, and ensuring industry safety and stability. The meeting stressed the importance of high-quality planning and implementation of the “14th Five-Year” transportation plan, accurately understanding new situations and problems faced during this period, scientifically planning goals and tasks, precisely formulating policies and measures, and ensuring that major national strategies, reforms, and projects in transportation are effectively implemented. Efforts should be made to promote the implementation of the “14th Five-Year” transportation plan, plan and implement a batch of high-quality pilot projects for building a strong transportation country, and strengthen monitoring, evaluation, and supervision of plan implementation.
