Banaei’s professional journey positions him uniquely for this role. He spent his tenure at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a Senior Special Advisor, where he focused on regulating national securities exchanges, alternative trading systems, and securities swap execution facilities. During this time, he also developed legal and policy guidance on digital assets and cryptocurrencies—expertise that proves invaluable for RWA-focused platforms operating at the intersection of traditional finance and blockchain technology.

Before joining the SEC, Salman Banaei served as Assistant General Counsel and Head of Policy at Uniswap Labs, one of the leading decentralized finance protocols. His earlier roles included positions at Chainalysis, where he contributed to blockchain compliance and monitoring initiatives, and at IHS Markit (now S&P Global), where he directed blockchain-related projects in leveraged loans and carbon markets.
