To deepen the practice of the “Finance for the People” philosophy and effectively implement the work requirements for protecting financial consumers’ rights and interests, during the 2026 “3.15” Consumer Rights Protection Education and Publicity Campaign, China Life Gansu Branch, Lanzhou Bank, and Gansu Postal Savings Bank jointly carried out specialized consumer rights protection training and thematic seminars. The event centered on “Collaborative Efforts to Protect Rights,” focusing on the difficulties and pain points in financial services within bancassurance cooperation, aiming to strengthen the consumer protection service capabilities of cooperating institutions and demonstrate the responsibility and commitment of state-owned financial and insurance enterprises to serve the people and fulfill their mission.

As a state-owned financial and insurance enterprise, China Life Gansu Branch always prioritizes safeguarding consumers’ legal rights and interests in its operations. It continuously deepens its efforts in financial consumer protection, optimizes service processes, and improves service quality to provide the people of Gansu with secure, reliable, and convenient insurance and financial services. Lanzhou Bank and Gansu Postal Savings Bank have already established a solid cooperative foundation. This tripartite joint training and seminar not only deepens bancassurance cooperation and leverages complementary advantages but also consolidates industry efforts and builds a solid line of defense for financial consumer safety. The goal is to implement consumer protection work requirements through multi-party collaboration, truly alleviating worries for the public and safeguarding consumers.

The training focused on core consumer rights protection topics, including the new “Measures for the Management of Suitability of Financial Institution Products” implemented in 2026, relevant financial consumer protection policies and regulations, suitability management requirements, customer complaint handling skills, protection of rights for special groups, and financial risk prevention. Instructors used typical cases from the financial consumer field to analyze current issues such as sales misguidance and risk hazards in bancassurance channels, interpret compliance service standards, and help all participants strengthen their awareness of compliant operations and improve their professional ability in consumer protection services. During the seminar, representatives from the three organizations freely exchanged ideas, delving into pain points and difficulties in consumer rights protection within bancassurance cooperation, sharing their experiences and practices, and jointly exploring effective ways to optimize service processes, improve complaint handling mechanisms, and enhance consumer experience. Ultimately, multiple service consensus was reached, laying a solid foundation for further deepening tripartite cooperation and efficiently serving consumers.

This joint training and seminar activity for the cooperating institutions is another important practice by China Life Gansu Branch to deepen consumer protection work and fulfill its mission to serve the people. It is also a concrete action to implement the theme of “Clear and Bright Financial Networks, Protecting Peace of Mind in Consumption” for the 3.15 consumer rights protection campaign. Moving forward, China Life Gansu Branch will take this event as an opportunity to continuously strengthen coordination with banking and intermediary institutions, gather industry consensus, pool service efforts, and improve the standardization of financial consumer protection work. It will also continue to optimize financial service experiences with more solid measures and warmer services, effectively safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of consumers across Gansu, contributing to regional consumption quality improvement and high-quality local financial development with the strength of China Life.
