#GateBlueLobsters
Come on, let's see who can be smarter than my blue lobster?
The crypto space has major news again - GateAI product matrix is here! Gate AI, Gate Claw, and Gate for AI are three "killer apps" that revolutionized how future retail traders do crypto trading. Today let's test how smart my blue lobster becomes after being armed with MCP. Let's get to the good stuff!
👉My blue lobster is the "Bitcoin Wave Warrior," with the main skill of searching the entire network daily for the latest Bitcoin news on schedule, combined with the current big coin's perpetual contract prices, to give me opening position suggestions, including the direction and entry points. It mainly uses two modules: gate-info - market data server and gate-news - news information server. Every day by crawling the latest information about Bitcoin, analyzing market direction. I also installed the Search X skill, allowing my blue lobster to try crawling the latest tweets and trending discussions on the X platform. After that, it calls the gate-info module to analyze market K-line data and provide entry point suggestions. I also bound my API and configured the gate-exchange module, but considering uncertainty about whether my blue lobster is currently "reliable," I didn't authorize it to execute trades. After continuously improving the analysis model later, I'll also authorize the blue lobster to open positions independently based on the analyzed entry points. I'm just waiting to earn while lying in bed.
💪Below I'll explain how I "armed" my blue lobster
Step One: Configure MCP Server
MCP service is a standardized protocol connecting AI Agent (like openclaw) and Gate crypto infrastructure services, including modules like gate-info, gate-news, gate-dex, and gate-exchange. You can complete this through natural language command "help me automatically configure Gate Skills and MCP."
Step Two: Bind Personal Account API Key
The gate-exchange module installation in the previous step requires authorizing your Gate account API key. The key can be obtained at page https://www.gate.com/myaccount/profile/api-key/manage by creating an API. When creating the key, to protect account security and prevent the not-yet-mature blue lobster from operating your account, you can set account permissions to "read-only." Then input the installation code that the blue lobster prompts you with to complete the gate-exchange installation.
Step Three: Quick Test
You can simply test whether the installed MCP services are running normally here. For example, you can input a command to test whether you can quickly get Ethereum's market data.
Step Four: Configure Scheduled Tasks
Scheduled tasks mean letting the blue lobster complete or repeatedly complete tasks at specified times. For example, you can let the blue lobster analyze market data daily to recommend potential moonshots to you, or summarize daily news each day to judge whether the market is bullish or bearish, etc. Fill in the parameters according to your actual needs. The task content can use code or natural language descriptions. If you really don't know how to write it, you can tell the blue lobster your requirements and let it "assign homework" to itself.
🙋Finally, I want to mention a small bug I discovered while using the blue lobster: when the blue lobster encounters problems requiring long processing time, the send message button in the dialog initially turns "red terminate," but after a while it turns back to "send message button." If you send a message at this point, it will interrupt the blue lobster's "thinking," and it will return the message "I'm currently processing, this process might take a while, ask me again later." Just a small issue, not a major flaw. What creative skills does everyone's blue lobster have? Come show us, and compare with mine. My blue lobster wants to fight 10 of 😜😜😜
