People’s Financial News, March 15 — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement on the 14th, saying that the IDF carried out targeted strikes on Tehran, Iran’s capital, killing two senior officials from Iran’s intelligence agency. The IDF stated that Abdullah Jallali-Nasab and Amir Shariat, senior officials from the intelligence department of the Hatham Ambyah Emergency Command of Iran’s armed forces, were killed. In the first round of joint strikes by the U.S. and Israel against Iran, the head of the command’s intelligence department, Saleh Asadi, was killed, and Jallali-Nasab and Shariat later took over. The IDF said the two are “key figures” in Iran’s intelligence community and both have close ties to Iran’s ruling leadership. (Xinhua)
