“Sister” Regina Ip will sign personalized cards and have one-on-one hi-bye sessions at the meet-and-greet

The organizers announced that “Sister” Regina Ip will meet fans and netizens up close at ComplexCon. Participants will have the chance to receive a secret, unreleased photo card signed by her and enjoy a one-on-one hi-bye session after the event.

In recent years, Regina Ip has posted cheongsam photos on social media during festivals, which have become internet hot topics. This has made her a social media celebrity in politics, with “Sister” or “Ye Liu Sister” becoming her online nickname. After announcing she would not run in the eighth Legislative Council election, she continued to stay energetic, actively embracing technology. Besides her usual holiday “benefits” and photo uploads, she even used AI to dance and celebrate Valentine’s Day this year.

ComplexCon Hong Kong organized by GEM-listed Huameilele significantly boosts revenue

This is the third time ComplexCon has been held in Hong Kong. Originating in the United States in 2016, ComplexCon was founded by the well-known streetwear media outlet Complex. It aims to create a top-tier carnival that gathers street culture, fashion, sneakers, art, music, and technology.

It is noteworthy that ComplexCon Hong Kong is organized by Complex China, a subsidiary of GEM-listed Huameilele (08429). In 2024, Huameilele partnered with Complex Network to co-host ComplexCon Hong Kong. The company described 2024 as a “year of transformation.” According to annual reports, thanks to the contribution from ComplexCon Hong Kong, Huameilele’s content media and experiential services revenue increased 2.5 times year-on-year to about HKD 54.8 million. This segment’s revenue share jumped from about 29% to nearly 60%, leading to a 70.3% overall revenue growth to approximately HKD 91.5 million. However, due to substantial investments, the company’s net loss for the year widened by 70% to about HKD 10.3 million.

By the first half of 2025, Huameilele reported that ComplexCon Hong Kong contributed to a 13.6% year-on-year increase in content media and experiential services revenue, reaching about HKD 55.7 million. This segment’s share rose to 80.5%, and overall revenue increased by 4.3% to HKD 69.3 million. As a result of improved financial performance from ComplexCon Hong Kong, last year’s first-half losses were significantly reduced by 86.4% to about HKD 9 million.
