The Football Association announced that the Hong Kong team has been approved to participate in this year’s Nagoya Asian Games men’s and women’s football events. The team can proceed with their original training plans.

FA Chairman Ho Chi-shan stated that he has been in communication and coordination with relevant authorities regarding the team’s participation in this year’s Asian Games. He is very pleased to hear that the team can go ahead and welcomes the decision by the Olympic Council of Asia.

Ho Chi-shan pointed out that this will have a positive impact on the development of Hong Kong football and help players gain experience in major competitions. He also thanked the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong for their active coordination, emphasizing that the FA team will continue to work hard on preparations.
