National People's Congress Deputy Liu Jizhong: Chang'e 7 is scheduled to be launched this year

National People’s Congress delegate and chief designer of the Tianwen-3 mission Liu Jizhong stated during the two sessions that China’s deep space exploration is currently progressing according to plan. Last year, Tianwen-2 was successfully launched, marking the start of the “star chasing” journey, and has now traveled about 700 million kilometers. This year, it will reach asteroid 2016HO3 to begin escort and exploration. Additionally, the Chang’e 7 mission is planned for launch, primarily to conduct in-situ scientific and resource exploration at the Moon’s south pole, forming a comprehensive exploration system that includes orbiting, landing,巡, and leap over the lunar south pole.
