#伊朗明确达成停火协议要求 Iran Proposes Ceasefire Conditions: Protect Iran the Same Way as Ukraine

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated yesterday that if the United States wants to end this war, the precondition is to recognize Iran's legitimate rights, compensate for war damages, and provide reliable guarantees from the international community to prevent Iran from suffering further aggression.
The ceasefire conditions proposed by Iran are undoubtedly a huge slap in the face for U.S. President Donald Trump.
First, the timing of the proposal is unacceptable. Iran, which Trump has boasted has been defeated, surprisingly takes the lead in proposing a ceasefire, implying that whether Trump likes it or not, he must accept, or else they will continue fighting on the battlefield. This is essentially a final ultimatum to Trump, overshadowing him.
Second, the conditions proposed are unacceptable. Offering Iran war reparations is not a big issue; at worst, blame Israel or have Gulf countries pay this protection fee. Recognizing Iran's legitimate right to peaceful nuclear development and legalizing Iran's uranium enrichment activities would mean this war was all for nothing. Providing international security guarantees for Iran is equivalent to making Iran the second Ukraine; the U.S. must agree to protect Iran just as it protects Ukraine.
Finally, the consequences of accepting these conditions are unacceptable. If Trump is forced to agree to Iran's ceasefire conditions, it would be equivalent to declaring U.S. defeat. The once invincible Trump would no longer be able to maintain his reputation in the future.
