On March 11th local time, a reporter from CCTV learned from the health department of West Kordofan State in western Sudan that a convoy was attacked by a drone on a highway from the state capital, El Fula, to another city, Abu Zabad. At least 50 civilians were killed. So far, no individual or organization has claimed responsibility for the attack. Recently, clashes between the Sudanese military and the Rapid Support Forces have escalated in three states of Kordofan, which has become a new focal point of the Sudan conflict. Currently, the Rapid Support Forces control the entire West Kordofan State. On April 15, 2023, armed clashes broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces in Khartoum, the capital, and the fighting later spread to other regions. The nearly three-year-long armed conflict has resulted in the deaths of many civilians in Sudan. (CCTV News)
