Six Years of Crypto Trading: The Only Lesson I Want to Hide

It's a bit embarrassing to say.
During the 2020 bull market, I heavily invested in ADA at $0.028. It surged to $1.26 in three months, turning my account into six zeros. I even wore out my mortgage calculator.
And what happened next? I didn't sell a single cent.
Later, it dropped back to $0.18, erasing 80% of my profits. That's when I finally understood a saying:
The one who knows when to buy is a student; the one who knows when to sell is a master.
After that, I locked myself in my room for three days, reviewing each candlestick pattern, re-reading my trading records, and finally developing a set of take-profit and stop-loss methods that ordinary people can follow. Today, I want to share them with you from the heart.
First: Ladder Take-Profit, Only Eat the Fish Body
Now, I write my plan before building a position:
Assuming entry at 1.1—
Rise to 2.1: sell 32%, recover the principal
Rise to 3.2: sell another 28%, lock in profits
Remaining 40%: set a trailing stop-loss, automatically close when retraced 16% from the peak
I don’t aim to sell at the top, but I want to secure the main gains of the upward wave.
Second: Hard Stop-Loss, 4.8% is My Bottom Line
This is for survival. $BTC
Start with 11,000 USD, and if it drops to a loss of 528 USD (4.8%), cut immediately.
I pre-set a conditional order: close automatically at -9.5%. Don’t ask why it’s wider than 4.8%; it’s a buffer for sudden spikes.
When the market crashes, emotions are the most useless thing.
Third: Against Human Nature—Admit You Can’t Catch the Fish Tail
Many people lose money with one obsession: “I must sell at the highest point.”
As a result, they hesitate to sell when it rises, and can’t bear to cut losses when it falls, ultimately giving back all profits.

My current mindset is simple: let others have the fish head and tail; I only eat the fattest middle part.
Feeling conservative? This year, my account achieved a steady return of 36.8%.
Finally, to be honest:
In the crypto world over six years, I’ve seen people get rich overnight and others go to zero overnight. Those who survive aren’t the smartest, but the ones who know when to stop.
Profits not taken into your pocket are always just numbers. #加密周期
