Gorman: Apple M5 version Mac Studio was released mid-year this year, with the same appearance.
IT House March 8 News, after upgrading the 14-inch MacBook Pro to the M5 series chip for the first time, Apple completed the synchronized update of its remaining MacBook product line this week. On the desktop Mac side, the first to be updated will be the Mac Studio.
Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman stated in today’s Power On newsletter that the first updated desktop Mac is not aimed at general consumers but is a higher-end, more expensive model—the Mac Studio.
Gurman did not reveal many details about the new Mac Studio, only expecting it to be released “mid-year.” If the news is accurate, the optimal time for Apple to launch the M5 version of Mac Studio would be around the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June.
Regarding the product appearance, Gurman said the new model will be identical to the current versions equipped with M4 Max and M3 Ultra.
IT House notes that this also aligns with the macOS Tahoe code leak obtained by AppleInsider in October, which indicated that a Pro model would be updated in summer 2026.
