Xiaohongshu: Restrict distribution of AI-generated synthetic content that is not actively marked

Xiaohongshu states that, in accordance with the “Artificial Intelligence Generated Synthetic Content Identification Measures,” the platform will continue to strengthen its ability to detect AI-generated synthetic content. If creators do not proactively label AI-generated synthetic content during the publishing process, the platform will add a label based on detection results to undeclared content. Such AI-generated synthetic content that is not proactively labeled will be restricted from distribution. Content that uses AI to produce false or counterfeit information, heavily modifies classics, or promotes harmful values, as well as tutorials encouraging removal of AI labels, will be subject to strict crackdown by the platform.
