Galaxy Futures: Lithium Carbonate Slightly Stronger in the Short Term, Pay Attention to Trading Pace

Abstract generation in progress

The current lithium carbonate market fundamentals remain supportive. On the supply side, the release of new capacity is hindered by delays in the renewal of Jiangxi lithium mica mining rights and stricter environmental regulations, limiting overall supply flexibility. On the demand side, driven by the continued realization of energy storage policy benefits and the pre-emptive “export rush” before the reduction of battery export tax rebates, purchasing resilience has exceeded expectations. Meanwhile, social inventories remain at low levels and continue to decline, providing strong price support. However, two risks should be noted: first, the potential gradual release of capacity may ease supply tightness; second, the current high prices may suppress downstream restocking intentions, creating upward resistance to prices.
