The Trump administration for the first time in U.S. history included cryptocurrencies and blockchain in the National Cybersecurity Strategy: the document explicitly emphasizes the need to protect these technologies at the government level.



The six-page document, published on March 6, states: “We will create secure technologies and supply chains that ensure user privacy at all stages — from development to deployment, including supporting the security of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies.” Galaxy Digital research division head Alex Thorn (Alex Thorn) called this a historic precedent: no previous U.S. cybersecurity strategy has mentioned crypto and blockchain in such a context.
