Semiconductor stocks declined at the market open, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index dropping over 4%. Intel and Micron fell more than 7%, Applied Materials, ASML, and TSMC declined over 5%, ON Semiconductor dropped over 4%, NXP and Marvell Technology fell over 3%, Microchip Technology and AMD declined over 3%, Broadcom and NVIDIA dropped over 2%.
