Documents from the Southern District of New York federal court show that the SEC has dropped its lawsuit filed in 2023 against Justin Sun, Tron Foundation, and BitTorrent Foundation. Meanwhile, Rainberry (formerly BitTorrent Inc.) has agreed to pay a $10 million civil fine to the SEC. The case initially accused the involved parties of conducting unregistered securities offerings through TRX and BTT and engaging in market manipulation. According to the final settlement, the parties have agreed to resolve the matter without admitting or denying the allegations, with Rainberry agreeing to pay the fine and commit to not engaging in deceptive securities market practices.
