In the crypto world, new tools appear almost daily, but it is the integration of artificial intelligence that makes me see trading from a completely different perspective. That’s why the new Gate for AI MCP Challenge campaign immediately caught my attention. Its concept is symbolic and at the same time very creative: transforming an ordinary "red lobster" into a rare Blue Lobster that demonstrates the power of intelligent agents. In nature, blue lobsters occur approximately once in two million, and this rarity has become a metaphor for truly innovative AI solutions. The campaign aims to show how artificial intelligence can assist traders in trading, data analysis, and asset management. Participants are required to create or demonstrate an AI agent that utilizes the capabilities of Gate for AI MCP. The most creative and effective ideas will be awarded a prize fund of 3000 GT. The campaign is scheduled to end on March 15, 2026, at 16:00 UTC (18:00 Kyiv time).

The essence of this initiative is not only in creativity but also in the practical application of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) technology from Gate. It allows integrating various modules — including news, informational data, and exchange functions — into the operation of an intelligent agent. Thanks to this, AI can analyze market signals, respond to news background, and even help users make trading decisions. As part of the contest, participants are encouraged to demonstrate a real-world scenario of such capabilities. This could be a video demonstration, a set of screenshots with explanations, or an interactive example of the agent’s operation. Short videos from 15 to 60 seconds that clearly show functionality are especially welcome. All this turns the technical concept into an understandable and lively example of AI use in crypto trading. In my opinion, formats like these help technologies reach a broad audience faster.

To participate in the campaign, participants need to complete several consecutive steps. The organizers offer a simple yet transparent participation mechanism that combines technical demonstration with social activity. During participation, you must:
• create an AI agent or demo application using Gate for AI MCP modules;
• prepare demonstration material in the form of video, images, or an interactive demo;
• publish your work on social media or in the Gate community, including the project name, a description of features, and the hashtag #GateBlueLobsters ;
• retweet the official campaign tweet;
• fill out the registration form to complete your participation.
These steps combine technological demonstration with community activity, making the contest both educational and social.

Besides direct participation, the organizers have provided another interesting opportunity — a referral format. Even users who do not create their own AI solutions can join the event. Simply invite a friend to participate in the campaign. If the invited participant wins any prize, the referrer will receive 500 GT from the referral prize fund. This approach encourages community development and the spread of innovation among a wider circle of users. Each referrer can receive only one such reward, helping to maintain system balance. In my view, this is also a way to unite traders, developers, and tech enthusiasts in a joint creative process. Because even a simple recommendation can lead to the birth of a new interesting idea.

Special attention has been paid by the organizers to the prize structure, which clearly reflects different aspects of a successful project. Within the creative ranking, three main categories are provided:
• The smartest Blue Lobster — 800 GT for the best alpha signal based on news;
• The most valuable Blue Lobster — 600 GT for the most active interaction with the agent;
• The most viral Blue Lobster — 400 GT for the highest level of social engagement.
Evaluation of entries is based on several criteria, including the full use of MCP features, innovation of the scenario, presentation quality, and audience activity. This system allows considering both technical aspects and participants’ creative potential. As a result, victory can go not only to the most technically complex project but also to the one that best communicates its idea to the community.

In addition to main prizes, there are also incentive awards. From all qualified applications, ten participants will be selected to receive 50 GT each. These awards are based on the quality of the submitted work and the completeness of the application. Thus, even beginners or small projects have a chance to earn a reward. In my opinion, such incentives help foster an innovative environment. They motivate experimentation, testing new approaches, and not being afraid to showcase ideas. In the crypto sphere, this is especially important, as technologies develop extremely quickly. Every new tool can become the basis for future solutions.

Participants should also remember the basic rules of the campaign. Entries must be original and demonstrate real scenarios of using at least two modules of Gate for AI MCP. Each user can submit multiple applications but can only receive one reward per account. Organizers will evaluate submissions based on creativity, full use of features, and social activity. It’s a space where developers, traders, and tech enthusiasts can test their concepts in practice. The prize fund of 3000 GT is a nice incentive, but the main value lies in the creative process and community interaction. Maybe someone is now creating that very “smartest lobster” that will learn to read the market faster than analysts. Or perhaps this contest will simply give us a few very interesting experiments.
