Techub News reports that according to CoinDesk, Davide Crapis, Head of AI at the Ethereum Foundation, stated in an interview at NEARCON 2026 that if artificial intelligence loses autonomy, censorship resistance, and privacy, these features will disappear entirely. He emphasized that Ethereum's push for AI development is not about competing with OpenAI or Google in model scale, but about ensuring that AI does not re-concentrate power when it becomes an interface for the internet. Ethereum will serve as a public, governance-free AI verification layer, providing a trust infrastructure.
