On March 4th, Shanghai Electric Power (600021.SH) announced that its controlling subsidiary, State Power Investment Corporation Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd., received approval from the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission for the Binhai South District H5# offshore wind power project and the H7# offshore wind power project in Dongtai. The Binhai South District H5# and Dongtai H7# offshore wind power projects have been approved.

The announcement states that the total installed capacity of the Binhai South District H5# offshore wind power project is 403.2 MW. The Dongtai H7# offshore wind power project has a total installed capacity of 201.6 MW. The combined installed capacity of the two projects reaches 604.8 MW. Shanghai Electric Power said that the approval of these projects is significant for accelerating the company’s green transformation and increasing the proportion of clean energy.
