Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi Had a Phone Call with Israeli Foreign Minister Shtayyeh
Mars Finance News: On March 3rd, according to CCTV News, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister, had a phone call with Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid. After hearing Lapid’s briefing on Israel’s stance regarding the current situation, Wang Yi stated that China has always advocated resolving international and regional hotspot issues through dialogue and consultation. All parties should abide by the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter, refrain from using or threatening to use force in international relations, which also aligns with the fundamental interests of all parties, including Israel. Over the years, China has been committed to promoting a political solution to the Iran nuclear issue. Recent negotiations between Iran and the U.S. have made significant progress, including addressing Israel’s security concerns. Unfortunately, this process has been interrupted by gunfire. China opposes military strikes by Israel and the U.S. against Iran. Force cannot truly solve problems; instead, it creates new issues and serious repercussions. The true value of military strength lies not on the battlefield but in preventing war. China calls for an immediate halt to military actions to prevent further escalation and loss of control. On Middle East issues, China has always maintained a just stance and will continue to play a constructive role in promoting de-escalation. Wang Yi urged Israel to take concrete measures to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel and institutions. Lapid responded that Israel attaches great importance to this and will protect the safety of Chinese personnel and institutions.
