Gelonghui February 28 | National Bureau of Statistics: By the end of the year, the total employed population nationwide was 725.04 million, of which urban employed persons numbered 475.35 million, accounting for 65.6% of the total employed population. The country saw an increase of 12.67 million new urban jobs throughout the year, an increase of 110,000 compared to the previous year.

The average annual urban surveyed unemployment rate nationwide was 5.2%. At the end of the year, the urban surveyed unemployment rate was 5.1%.

The total number of migrant workers nationwide was 301.15 million, a 0.5% increase from the previous year. Among them, 180.06 million worked outside their hometowns, a 0.8% increase; 121.09 million worked locally, a 0.1% increase.
