On February 27th local time, U.S. President Trump posted that he has instructed all U.S. federal agencies to immediately cease cooperation with Anthropic, adding that the Department of Defense and other agencies using the company’s products will have a six-month transition period.

“I have directed all federal agencies of the U.S. government to immediately stop using all technologies from Anthropic. We don’t need it, we don’t want it, and we will no longer do business with them!” Trump announced on his self-created social media platform, Truth Social.

In his post, Trump also launched a harsh critique of Anthropic, calling the company a “left-wing lunatic” and stating that their attempt to force the Pentagon to accept their policies is wrong.
