Iraqi armed groups claim attack on U.S. military base

The armed group under the banner of the Iraqi Islamic Resistance issued a statement on March 1st, saying, “To support Iran’s resistance against American and Israeli aggression and to defend Iraq’s national sovereignty,” the group launched a drone attack on a U.S. military base in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region in northern Iraq.
