Iraqi armed groups claim attack on U.S. military base

Odaily Planet Daily News: An armed group under the “Iraqi Islamic Resistance Movement” issued a statement on March 1st, saying, “To support Iran’s resistance against U.S. and Israeli aggression and to defend Iraq’s national sovereignty,” the group launched a drone attack on a U.S. military base in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region in northern Iraq. The group also issued a statement on February 28th, stating that on that day, dozens of drones were launched in 16 attacks against U.S. military bases in Iraq and other parts of the Middle East.
