On February 5th, CEX founder CZ posted on social media stating, “Some people spreading FUD are now openly spreading rumors, even from accounts claiming to have 500,000+ followers. I don’t know the owner of this account, nor do I remember when I blocked him, but it seems very reasonable to have done so now. I have never sent such messages to anyone. I will try to spend less time debunking these FUDs one by one, as I have more important things to do. The so-called ‘fake lawyer letter’ from yesterday also circulated for a while. I thought it was so obviously fake that no clarification was needed, but I still saw some so-called new media reposting images and even writing reports about it. If in this era, there are still people unable to distinguish obvious Photoshop or AI-generated fake messages/fake documents, then they are very likely to end up poor. (Sorry, that was a bit blunt.)”
