By 2026, real-world asset tokenization (RWA) is set to become a major player in the crypto market, and Dusk seems to have found the most "serious" approach.
They partnered with NPEX, a long-established regulated exchange in the Netherlands, to jointly launch DuskTrade—a fully on-chain regulated investment platform. Most importantly, this is not just talk: over €300 million worth of tokenized securities are ready and will officially go live in 2026.
Why is this worth paying attention to? Because NPEX is not just any exchange. This Dutch institution holds multiple EU licenses, including MTF (Multilateral Trading Facility), Broker, and ECSP (Crowdfunding Service Provider), making it a legitimate player within the European financial regulatory system. DuskTrade inherits this regulatory DNA, built-in compliance framework from day one.
How does it work specifically? Traditional assets like stocks, bonds, and real estate trusts are all tokenized and issued on-chain with a 1:1 peg. Investors can issue, trade, and settle through the Dusk network, fully aligned with European MiCA regulations and KYC/AML requirements. Compared to other RWA projects that often operate in regulatory gray areas, DuskTrade’s solution is a "whitelisted" platform from the start.
On the technical side, the core support comes from the DuskEVM mainnet, launched in the second week of January. Fully EVM-compatible, developers can deploy Solidity contracts directly, while enjoying the finality and privacy protections of Dusk Layer 1. In other words, it combines ecosystem compatibility with security and privacy without compromise.
Is this approach clear? It combines traditional financial compliance DNA with blockchain efficiency to attract institutional capital to boldly go on-chain.
