MetaMask officially goes Multichain with Native TRON Support. 🦊💎
MetaMask has officially shattered the boundaries of the Ethereum ecosystem.
In a massive update rolling out today, the world’s most popular self-custody wallet has launched native support for the TRON network across both its mobile app and browser extension.
This isn’t just a minor update; it’s a strategic pivot.
By integrating TRON a network that handles over $21 billion in daily stablecoin volume MetaMask is positioning itself as a universal gateway for the decentralized web.
Users can now manage $TRX, send $USDT with TRON’s signature low fees, and interact with the massive TRON DeFi ecosystem (like JustLend and SunSwap) without ever needing to switch to a different wallet.
This follows the recent additions of Bitcoin and Solana, marking the end of the "Ethereum-only" era for MetaMask.
"Native TRON integration represents another milestone in our multichain expansion strategy, joining Solana and Bitcoin as non-EVM networks now accessible through a unified interface.
This integration meets users where they are as we continue to move closer to delivering a truly universal gateway to the decentralized economy."
Rizvi Haider, Staff Product Manager at MetaMask
