The recent rally of privacy coin DASH still feels a bit painful in hindsight.
On the day it was built at $64, honestly, the market had no real enthusiasm. Old coins, privacy narratives, no discussions, no hype. Even many people around me were shaking their heads: "This thing won't move." But I still decided to enter.
It's not about gambling on luck; honestly, it was a judgment at that moment — I felt it was its turn.
The subsequent price movement confirmed this judgment. $70, $80, $90… pushing higher all the way, approaching $100 at the peak. The account unrealized profit once neared 150,000 USD. It looked perfect.
Then the turn came.
I closed the position early. Lock in profits, seek stability, fear of a pullback. I was quite satisfied with my rational decision at the time. But looking back now, I realize—if I had held on till the end, how much more could I have gained?
The irony is, I was right about the direction, I entered at the right time, but in the end, I lost to myself.
The harsh truth of the crypto market is this: you see the trend correctly, your actions are correct, but in the end, it all comes down to whether you can hold on. At that moment, watching the price, I couldn't even smile, nor could I curse out loud.
But upon reflection, I don't really regret it. Those who survive are often those who know when to lock in profits. Blindly holding till the end isn't a virtue; a single pullback could wipe out everything. So, although this DASH trade left some regrets, it also taught me a lesson.
It once again reminds me: making big money in this market is never just about seeing the trend right. Ultimately, it tests whether you dare to stick to your judgment at critical moments — knowing when to secure your gains and when to hold on.
This is the cruel and fascinating nature of the crypto world — earning, running, missing out, cycle after cycle. Next time, I will be more cautious.
