## Tim Beiko's New Phase: From Core Development to Ecosystem Innovation and Application Exploration
Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko recently announced an important shift in his career direction. Over the coming months, his focus will gradually shift from underlying protocol development to in-depth exploration and research of the Ethereum application ecosystem.
### Smooth Transition and Current Priorities
This change does not mean that Tim Beiko is leaving immediately. To ensure a smooth handover within the AllCoreDevs team and the complete delivery of the Ethereum Foundation's existing work, he will continue to be fully engaged during the transition period. A stable transition process remains his top priority in the short term.
### A New Framework for Ecosystem Collaboration
It is worth noting that Tim Beiko will continue to serve as a protocol advisor for the Ethereum Foundation and will work closely with the foundation and ecosystem leaders to build a more comprehensive organizational structure. The core goal of this new structure is to support broader cross-ecosystem participation and promote the integration and development of different verticals.
### New Stage of Protocol Evolution Thinking
In his statement, Tim Beiko emphasized a key point: **Although the development of the Ethereum protocol is approaching maturity, our true exploration has just begun**. Building a permissionless, highly scalable, economically secure, low-cost, and verifiable global computer — this is the real challenge facing the industry. Tim Beiko's shift perhaps reflects a critical moment as the Ethereum ecosystem transitions from protocol refinement to application explosion.
