AI's biggest current bottleneck is still the limitation of the Context window. This issue may seem simple, but its impact is profound—no matter how large the model parameters are, a too-short Context means it cannot truly understand the full context of long texts or long conversations. Often, the answers provided by AI don't seem smart enough, not because of a lack of intelligence, but because it cannot see the full information. If we can break through the ceiling of Context length, many AI capabilities that currently seem "similar" could experience a qualitative leap. This is also why all companies are investing resources into researching long-Context models—whoever solves this problem first will gain the initiative in the next generation of AI.

The thing about the context window is basically AI's forgetfulness. No matter how smart it is, it has to see the whole picture.

After the ceiling of the context window is broken, a bunch of "smart" AIs are actually just blind men touching an elephant. Hurry up and buy tickets with longer context.

Ha, isn't this the same problem we encountered a few years ago when arbitraging on the chain? Placing orders with incomplete information will only lead to liquidation. Now AI is suffering from the same issue, serves it right.

Basically, current AI is all "short-sighted," making wild guesses because it can't see the full picture. That's the fundamental problem.

Honestly, the context window issue should have been taken seriously long ago. Now a bunch of AIs are pretending to be smart, but then they forget what was said earlier.

The day the ceiling of the context window was broken is the day the real AI arms race began.

Yes, that's true. The context window is the current ceiling; only by breaking through it can it truly take off.

That's the real pain point. The small context window is the bottleneck. The current AI isn't actually stupid; it's just that it can't see the full picture.
