These days, while keeping an eye on Bitcoin and Ethereum trends, there are several other tracks worth exploring.
First, AI agents. The integration of blockchain and AI is becoming increasingly tight, and AI agents that can autonomously go on-chain, conduct transactions, and complete tasks are starting to attract attention. Fetch.ai and EigenCloud within the EigenLayer ecosystem are doing this—building decentralized AI agent networks that enable these agents to handle payments and complete work independently, in a self-governing and secure manner. This direction is interesting and worth monitoring.
Next is privacy. Now that the technical stacks of various exchanges and protocols are quite similar, privacy has become the strongest differentiator. Aztec employs zero-knowledge proofs, focusing on private DeFi; Zcash is also deeply involved in this area, using technical means to hide transaction information. The development potential of these underlying protocols is significant.
And we cannot ignore zkVM. Transforming complex off-chain computations into concise, verifiable proofs—this sounds simple but has many applications. Cloud tasks, financial models, and other calculations can all become verifiable. RISC Zero and Succinct are working on infrastructure in this area, enabling any computation to have a "trustworthy proof." This is a key step in Web3 infrastructure development.
