**Hidden Dangers of Traditional Cloud Services**
Whenever natural disasters strike or network disruptions occur, we often see some centralized cloud services going completely offline. But some projects are designed very differently—for example, using a globally distributed node storage protocol, which inherently possesses strong fault tolerance.
**Why is this architecture so resilient?**
First, data is not stored in a single location. The system defaults to splitting the data into fragments and storing them on different nodes around the world. If one region encounters a problem? It doesn't affect the overall system at all. This is what is called "geographical redundancy."
Second, there is no central control tower. New nodes can join freely, and nodes that want to leave are automatically handled. The entire network is fully self-organizing. This "decentralized architecture" means there are no single points of failure—you can't take it down because there is no "it."
Furthermore, even if submarine cables are actually cut (which has happened before), the network can automatically find alternative routes to continue functioning. Data can still be transmitted, and users won't experience any interruption.
This design philosophy is crucial for humanity's accumulated data—it provides a truly persistent storage solution that does not rely on any single entity or infrastructure.
