A video call at 3 a.m. with a Jiangsu female trader choking on her voice: her account blew up, with 6000 USDT full position at 5x leverage, and just a 3-point pullback wiped everything out. Trading records show she bet the entire 5800 USDT on a single position, without setting any stop-loss.

Stories like this happen repeatedly in the crypto world. Many people mistakenly believe that full-position trading equals quick profits, but in reality, it's the nightmare start of a trading career. Full-position trading is like a car without brakes—just a slight deviation in direction can lead to disaster.

What truly determines a margin call isn’t the leverage itself, but the control over position size.

Let's look at some data comparison: an 800 USDT account, using 750 USDT to open a 5x leveraged position. A mere 6% adverse move triggers liquidation. Conversely, with the same 800 USDT account, using only 75 USDT to open a 5x position, it takes an 86.7% move to wipe out the account—nearly 12 times more resistant to risk. The female trader risked 96.7% of her principal with 5x leverage; a small pullback was simply unbearable.

After a year of market practice, I’ve summarized three proven risk control rules:

**Rule 1: Cap per-Trade Position Size**
Invest only 7% of total funds per trade. For a 6000 USDT account, this means a maximum of 420 USDT per position. Even if a 7% stop-loss is triggered, the actual loss is only 29.4 USDT, which has minimal impact on the overall fund pool.

**Rule 2: Limit Single Loss**
A single loss should not exceed 1.1% of total funds. With a 420 USDT position at 5x leverage, setting a 1% stop-loss results in an 8.4 USDT loss—just 1.1% of total funds—promptly cutting losses to avoid deep entrapment.

**Rule 3: Avoid Trading in Unclear Markets**
When the market shows no clear signals, stay put to avoid blindly adding to positions due to short-term gains. Only trade when the trend is clear—for example, a daily breakout of a key resistance level with good volume—then enter.

A trader once experienced monthly margin calls. After applying these three rules, his account grew from 3,200 USDT to 55,000 USDT in four months. His realization was: previously, he thought full-position trading was gambling with his life; now he understands that proper position control is actually about surviving longer.

The abyss in the crypto world does exist, but learning risk control is like holding a lantern.

It's the same full-position liquidation script again; the crypto world is always repeating this tragedy.

It's the story of going all-in again. When will the crypto world have fewer tragedies like this?

Putting all 6000 dollars with 5x leverage and not stopping the loss, this is just giving it away.

Another full-margin gambler story... To be honest, no stop-loss and 5x leverage, this isn't trading, it's suicide.

It's the old trick of full-position liquidation again, and it makes me feel bad for her... Really, I understand this kind of pain.
