The security risks and cost pressures of centralized storage have always troubled developers. Walrus offers an alternative— a decentralized storage protocol built on the Sui blockchain, utilizing erasure coding and blob storage technology to achieve secure storage.

What makes this solution special? The native token WAL not only supports private transactions but also carries staking and governance functions, allowing participants to actively participate in network operations. For DeFi and dApp developers, this is the infrastructure for building privacy applications.

From the perspective of data sovereignty, users regain control of their information while enjoying censorship-resistant storage guarantees. If you're exploring storage solutions within the Sui ecosystem, Walrus is worth checking out.

I noticed an interesting point — WAL token is not just a governance token for the clone project, it can actually support private transactions? This is quite rare in storage protocols; need to take a closer look.

Walrus sounds good, but with so many projects in the Sui ecosystem, can they really survive until next year?

The concept of erasure coding sounds impressive, but how many projects that can actually be used are there now...

Walrus sounds good, but can the Sui ecosystem really support this thing... It still seems to depend on actual user data.

Sounds good, but what is the current node distribution of Walrus? Could it still be considered de facto centralization?

Walrus sounds good, but I'm worried it might be another project that runs away at the end of the month...

Let me tell you, the storage solution in the Sui ecosystem is indeed interesting... The erasure coding technology, simply put, disperses data storage so that a single point of failure is not an issue... I think the WAL staking governance design is heading in the right direction.
