Internal disagreements within the Federal Reserve, rate policy still uncertain

The latest meeting minutes released by the Federal Reserve show that even though officials have decided to cut interest rates, there are still clear divisions within the Fed regarding whether to continue adjusting rates afterward. Some decision-makers believe that after the December adjustment, interest rates may need to remain unchanged for a period to observe changes in economic data.

At the same time, according to the CME FedWatch tool, investors currently expect an over 80% probability that the Federal Reserve will hold steady at the January meeting, but other forecasting platforms believe that the possibility of another rate cut earlier this year remains relatively high.
