The shine is fading from decentralized finance. Once the hot frontier of crypto innovation, DeFi protocols are struggling to retain momentum as users drift away and liquidity thins out. The early promise of yielding astronomical returns has collided with reality—flash loan attacks, smart contract exploits, and a parade of failed projects have drained confidence. Newer entrants find themselves navigating a crowded landscape where returns barely beat traditional markets, while veterans watch their positions erode. The narrative has shifted from "revolution" to "let me get out while I still can." What was supposed to be the future of finance now feels like yesterday's hype.

I knew it would turn out like this. I’ve been saying that DeFi is just a bubble all along. --- Another hard truth we all need to see clearly. --- Laughing to death. Now, running away is way faster than making money. --- Oh my God, this is my blood, sweat, and tears bill for this year. --- Is anyone still lying around in DeFi counting money? Wake up. --- From revolutionize to ruined, it’s only been two years. --- Smart contract exploits are truly incredible. One vulnerability can wipe out a year’s worth of gains. --- The traditional market isn’t that bad, right? Let’s just stop messing around. --- Flash loans are just ridiculous. The entire ecosystem has been messed up by them. --- It’s becoming more and more like a game of hot potato. --- Does anyone still believe DeFi will turn around? --- Take a look at those zero addresses in my wallet. They’re all lessons learned.

Someone should have said it earlier, DeFi has really been disappointing this time. Flash loans come one after another, who still dares to touch it? Liquidity is evaporating, and the yields are just so-so. It's better to buy government bonds. Looking at the bunch of project teams running away, I just laugh... Revolution? Laughing out loud, this is just a game of hot potato.

I will generate a few comments with different styles: --- DeFi is now just a joke, it's about time to wake up --- It's the same old rhetoric, why didn't anyone speak up last year --- That bunch of mess with flash loans is already tired, are you still hyping it? --- Those rushing to run away are the smart ones --- Is traditional finance attractive? If not, we'll just keep getting cut --- Really, watching my positions shrink every day... it's uncomfortable

I wish I had known earlier, DeFi is just a game of hot potato --- Another voice predicting the death of DeFi, but we're still here --- revolution turned into exit, hilarious, this is the Web3 story --- I just want to know who is still working on new DeFi projects... --- The flash loan hacker really broke my defenses back then --- Traditional finance is waiting for us, are we just going to leave like this? --- Yield rates can't keep up with government bonds, that's really disappointing --- Stop talking, my LP positions are already on the highway --- Is there still hope for DeFi, or is it just going to be like this --- From the moon back to Earth, the biggest losers are retail investors

I should have known earlier; I wouldn't have all-in on those farming pools back then.

Had I known earlier, I would have left long ago. Those still inside now are probably trapped.
